Davinia & Greg Winery Wedding Acacia Ridge

Davinia & Greg's Acacia Ridge Marquee Wedding was a real stand out. Every wedding is unique as a wedding day reflects the bride and groom, who they are, their favourite things, their little family traditions, their fun sides, their dance moves, their loves and of course their love for each other.

This couple really surprised me with Davinias calm and collected nature and Greg's humour and gentleness. He was one funny groom! We started the day with a first look at the Barn. It was evident how much Davinias Family adores Greg, I took so many pictures of the beautiful Henna and pictures with Davinias Grandmother.

Their Entrance was a real showstopper with Davinia and Greg arriving smoothly through the vineyards in their blue mustang. Acacia Ridge was just stunning with views of the Yarra Valley, mists to cool their guests down, haybales and the couple sat right in front of that picturesque view. Greg is Polish and one of their customs is the bread, salt and vodka tradition. This gift of bread and salt is symbolic. Bread is offered so that the couple may never know hunger, while salt reminds them of life’s difficulties and the importance of learning to cope. Greg's parents then presented the couple with a shot glass each. One is filled with water and one is vodka. They drink it together. Whoever gets the vodka is the boss. See who is the boss!
