Alex & Nick | Flowerdale Estate Wedding Melbourne

Alex & Nick celebrated their wedding at the historic Flowerdale Estate, nestled between the Yarra Valley and the Macedon Ranges. They approached me because I shot one of their friend's wedding and were impressed by the natural way I captured them and made them comfortable in front of the camera.

Alex and Nick's journey was a long one as Nick works in Singapore. I still remember asking Mum and Dad for their special prayers as the couple was a little anxious about the rain forecasted for their big day. Even my assistant could not explain how we managed to skip the rain but that we must have been in a miracle slither of that rain cloud. I LOVEEEE how even though it was hot and humid ( Nick brought the Singapore weather with him! ) and his shirt was soaked through, he just had the biggest smile on his face!

There were lovely natural moments to capture, how his older brother hushed off a bee for him during the ceremony, boys showing off their budgie smugglers and when we were gathering outside for a group photo, Alex and her family bursting into dancing and singing!

See below Brett's beautiful arrangement of flowers using pink, blue and purple flowers for the ceremony arch and the reception backdrop, how appropriate for a Flowerdale Estate Wedding! Soon after the couple received their photos, Nick sent me a screenshot of his phone wallpaper of his favourite shot which is the black and white shot at the end, enjoy!
