Mexican Styled Shoot featured in Polka Dot Bride
Mexican Wedding. That was our theme. I remember that me and some other talented souls were sitting near Coin Laundry Cafe in Armadale when we came up with the idea of doing something different, how about a mexican inspired shoot. So excited to have teamed up with the lovely KWH and Winnie again and the 4 hour road trip just flew by. The inspiration behind this shoot is our love for the unconventional wedding with a Mexican fiesta twist. There were lots of reds, fuchsias, orange and yellow with succulents and cacti popping in between which set a bright and still romantic tone to the shoot. The beautiful location was set just outside Shepperton at Cactus Country which was the perfect backdrop for any wedding, with a vast range of beautiful cacti small and large it was a beautiful contrast to the femininity of the gowns provided by Karen Willis Holmes. I got Carla the amazing Rutherglen Florist to help out whom I met last year at a wedding I shot in Rutherglen. Her work is just breathtaking and exactly the style I was after. An abundance of colourful floral garlands mixed with ribbon was created as a bright ceremony backdrop which carried through to a table setting nestled within a cove of cacti! Casually set up on a crate table were colourful blooms of Dahlias, Chrysanthemums, and craspedias, skull vases and gorgeous mini plants from the cactus farm. We waited until the sunset for that golden light to set an amazing warmth to the photos that we couldn’t get enough of.Seriously have never seen that many cacti in my life! So excited to be featured in Polka Dot Bride check out the post!
