A winter wedding styled and coming to life by my dream team. Everyone was on the same page and so so lovely. I was approached by stylist WINNIE Q from London through a mutual friend and when she described the vision for a winter wedding combined with the industrial setting of Melbourne metro area featuring Australian designer KAREN WILLIS HOLMES, I knew I wanted to be on board.
WINNIE says, “I love the softness that winter brings set against the rugged white exposed bricks in an old warehouse space which was in urban Melbourne. I was obsessed with bringing snow into the warehouse and made cotton wool snowballs, which were set as a wedding ceremony backdrop and incorporated with the bouquets, cake and table settings. The natural light beamed through this iconic urban space and set the most ambient and natural romantic lighting one could only ask for – it had all come together perfectly. From the gorgeously styled hair and makeup, to the flawless buttercream cake, the dreamy tulle and sequined wedding gowns, to the dainty, glistening headpieces and a winter inspired festive table set for any occasion underneath a set of a rough diamond pendant light installation – dressed in crystal glasses, vases, hand painted gold pine cones, calligraphy designed stationery, candles and the most beautiful flowers by BLUSH FLORAL DESIGN to match… it was even better than I had imagined.”
This was featured in one of my favourite online wedding magazines Magnolia Rouge and as they described it : Winter weddings are just romantic, the candlelight, dreamy white snow and the beautiful wraps you can add to your gown. Everyone should have Sarah from KWH on their wedding day, she was amazing at dressing our beautiful ( and supertall !) model Jacinta Horan into the various gowns.
