There is something so beautiful about the Bellarine Coast and having a Geelong wedding. The relationship with this couple Melissa & Peter was def like love at first sight. From the moment we met a little cafe in Bentleigh, I knew we were the right match for each other. Melissa and Peter are one of the most selfless and kind people you will ever meet. Even though I was their photographer, they looked after me just like family.

It was a beautiful sunny blue sky kind of day in Melbourne. At the gate of this stunning private estate, I was asked for a code, luckily this kind young man driving behind me screamed it out to me who turned out to be one of the 2 groomsmen/sons of the groom. Peter wore a navy blue suit from Country Road ( my favourite….) whilest everything on the brides side was
a soft rose color. I loved how all the little ones were matching to the color sceme. This couple certainly has good taste as most of their wedding was DIY. During the day I captured a few funny shots as the wind was blowing heavily and the boys & their girlfriends tried to protect their hairdo. I myself even had a Marilyn Monroe moment ( lucky my assistant Alli was there to the rescue).

I get to know most of my couples really well because we drink a lot of coffee together…. and because a wedding can be a reflection of who you are, not just in your style and taste but more importantly your values and the people around you. Speeches are the perfect time to show and say how much you love and are loved. From their speeches, the joy and laughter, I had no doubt that Melissa and Peter really love and cherish their family
and friends. It has been a beautiful journey getting to know these guys leading up to a beautiful wedding, cant wait to see these guys again, love them to bits….
