Purple Gown at Mont Du Soleil

Purple Gown with the backdrop of Mont Du Soleil. It all started with a coffee on March 30th with the bubbly and talented Holly Butler. I asked whether she could create a colored gown in contrast to traditional white wedding dresses. With our current travel restrictions, we wanted to transcend our shoot into another world, little Italy in the middle of Melbourne - Mont Du Soleil. An idea was born and a sketch was made by Holly.

I love creating things. I believe it is part of us. We all love our jobs because we are in artists creating beautiful things, whether it is a breathtaking gown, handwritten calligraphy invitations that you can touch and smell. Putting together flowers to tell a story.

" Never has the wedding world, couples and vendors alike, been more ready to have our cake and eat it too! Antoinette is the gorgeously sumptuous, collaborative creation of Melbourne vendors, inspired by Sofia Coppola’s film Marie Antoinette. Drawing on layer upon layer of candy-coloured hues, lavish fashion and divine detailing, the result is an iridescent dream of opulence and sweet delight, captured to perfection by photography favourite, Neiyo.

The centrepiece to this girlish dream is a couture creation by Holly Butler, an extraordinary gown in ultra-violet, a vision of cascading ruffles and endless tulle. The old-world glamour of Mont du Soleil, with its terracotta hues, creates a perfect backdrop to the modern-day queen, complemented with lusciously romantic florals in every shade of soft pastel.

No Versailles inspired soiree would be complete without a decadent dining occasion. Set on the sunbathed terrace, petit fours and sweet treats by Zephyr and Bloom delight, while Torte by Mirjana’s ethereally exquisite cake creation is whimsical, high-fashion royalty at its absolute best.

Escape with us to a softly luxe, dessert filled dream and let your imagination run wild! This sweet shoot is best enjoyed with a coupe of champagne and a serving of petit fours.

Thank you to all the unique and lovely vendors. We created something beautiful together. Even amongst world's longest lockdown, I am truly grateful to be in the best industry.
